Former Shark Mitch Spence made his MLB debut with the Oakland A’s Friday Night, pitching 3 innings, giving up one run on two hits in three complete innings of work.  He also walked three and struck out three.

Spence was a 10th round draft pick by the New York Yankees in 2019 out of USC Aiken.  The A’s acquired him from the Yankees this past off-season.

A member of the Sharks in 2017, Spence appeared in 20 games for the fins, with a 2-2 record, a 4.04 ERA in 35 2/3 innings.
