THAD PARSONS

Thad Parsons joins the Sharks going into the 2025 season.
Thad is a native of North Carolina, with a career background in the food and beverage industry. He currently owns a beer and wine store in Arlington, VA, which he bought in 2017. He has over 20 years of food and beverage experience, including five years in the United Kingdom, while he was earning his Doctor of Philosophy in Modern History from Oxford. His goal is to take his knowledge and bring the Sharks’ concessions to the next level.
Thad currently resides outside of Washington, D.C. and plans to be a part of the Wilmington community as he is able.
He is excited to grow his business portfolio through a sports organization and expanding into a new territory.
“I can’t wait to see what the Sharks will accomplish this season and beyond,” Thad said. “One thing for sure: The team, the staff, and the organization you love, is not going anywhere. Sharks’ fans will not notice any structural or operational changes.”
DAVID WOODARD

David is joining the Wilmington Sharks for the 2026 season, his 12th season working in baseball and 2nd with the Sharks. He joins the Sharks having most recently worked as the Vice President of Ticket Sales & Operations for the Fredericksburg Nationals. David has also worked for the Charlotte Knights, Reno Aces, State College Spikes, and Myrtle Beach Pelicans during his career. He was Inside Sales Manager for the Charlotte Knights during the 2018 season in which they led all of Minor League Baseball in attendance and also has been on staff of two Carolina League Championship teams (2016 Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 2024 Fredericksburg Nationals).
He is a former board member for the Historic Fredericksburg Foundation and current member of the Wilmington Sharks Downtown Rotary. David is very excited to get more involved in the Wilmington community!
JACK MAY

Jack is entering his 4th season in the Coastal Plain League after stops with the Tri City Chili Peppers and Florence Flamingos.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Jack grew up watching Richmond Braves and Flying Squirrels baseball games, where his love for the game of baseball began. Jack graduated from Radford University with a degree in Excercise Health and Science. After graduating, Jack joined the Baltimore Ravens as a part of their Marketing Event Staff for the 2023 season.
Jack is looking forward to being a part of the Sharks family and is excited to call Wilmington home!
IAN McLEOD

Ian McLeod joins the Wilmington Sharks ahead of the 2026 season, bringing nearly a decade of experience in parks, recreation, and sports leadership. A 2016 graduate of East Carolina University, Ian earned his B.S. in Recreation and Park Management with a concentration in Recreation Sports Leadership.
Throughout his career, Ian has served in roles with Winterville Parks and Recreation, Boiling Springs Lake Parks and Recreation, and the Town of Belville Parks and Recreation, where he has been committed to strengthening community engagement through sports and programming. He has been an active member of the North Carolina Recreation and Park Association since 2016 and the National Recreation and Park Association since 2020.
Ian and his wife, Jess, are also co-owners of Coastal Tides Fastpitch, a competitive travel softball organization. Even outside of his role with the Sharks, Ian enjoys spending time at the ballfield supporting young athletes and growing the game. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and officiating high school and college football and basketball. He is a proud husband and father to their 2-year-old daughter, Saylor Wynn.

DR. JOHN S. O'MALLEY

Dr. John O’Malley is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic surgery. Dr. O’Malley has been affiliated with the Sharks for over 25 years. He is also the sports medicine team physician for UNC Wilmington Seahawks Athletics.
Dr. O’Malley is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Upstate Medical School in Syracuse, NY. He completed his residency at State University of New York, Stony Brook. He received his fellowship from Graduate Hospital, Philadelphia in Sports Medicine, during which he worked with the Philadelphia Eagles professional football team, the Philadelphia Flyers professional hockey team and the Virginia Slims Tennis Tournament.
Dr. O’ Malley specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder, total joint replacement and general orthopedic surgery.
