Read Around the Bases

The Wilmington Sharks are excited to provide second through fifth-grade school students the opportunity to become an All-Star reader with our reading program. “Read Around The Bases” encourages literacy and reading comprehension inside and outside the classroom for traditional and non-traditional schools.

Our reading program is FREE, turn-key, incentive-based and aims to help students discover the joy of reading. Students work towards reaching HOME by reading four books in order to receive FREE admission to one Sharks home games played on Sunday through Thursday in the 2021 season.

In order to participate: PRINT THIS FORM, cut out the bookmark and have your reader write the title and author of each book they read then bring the completed bookmark with an adult's signature to the box office at Buck Hardee Field for a complementary Youth General Admission Ticket.

For more information, contact Tom Lamont at [email protected] or call the Sharks front offices at 910-343-5621.
