The Wilmington Sharks intended to get their season underway last night against the Wilson Tobs. Mother Nature was singing a different tune. After a 90-minute rain delay, team officials called off the contest and moved the game to Sunday, June 15th for Wilson's next scheduled visit. The game will be played as part of a doubleheader. First pitch will be at 4 p.m. and two seven-inning games will be played. Meanwhile, the Sharks will take advantage of the nice weather forecast for Friday when they take on the Fayetteville SwampDogs in a divisional matchup. Gates open at 6 p.m. and first pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to stick around after the game as the Sharks will host their first Fireworks Extravaganza of the season. Come out and enjoy dinner, beverages, baseball, and fireworks this Friday!
