WILMINGTON, NC- The Wilmington Sharks are representing more than just baseball on July 21st. The Shark's are doing their part in the movement against global warming by hosting "Fill the Park, Empty the Lot" at Buck Hardee Field. With the generosity of Wave Transit, fans will receive free admission to the game by not driving their cars to the game but rather riding a short bus ride from Independence Mall to the field. Busses will run from Independence Mall from 4:30 till 7 and 8 till 10. Also, fans that ride their bikes to the game will receive half off their admission into the game. The night will start earlier than normal for the Sharks with gates opening at 5 and first pitch at 6:05. There will be a mountain bike freestyle showcase for all the family to enjoy along with several other games and prizes. Make sure to ride the Wave Transit bus to the game and help the Sharks in their efforts to "Fill the Park, and Empty the Lot!"
