| Three Sharks Coming from Southern Schools |

The Wilmington Sharks announce today that they have signed three more players for the 2007 Season. Pitchers Eddie Anderson from Savannah College of Art and Design, Eric McGough from Charleston Southern University, and Zane Petty from Coastal Carolina will play for the sharks this season. Eddie Anderson, 6-6/235, is a junior at Savannah College of Art and Design. He is originally from Bradenton, FL where he played for Manatee High School. The Sharks are looking for his experience and hard work in the Florida Sun Conference to show this season. Eric McGough, 6-4/183, is a red shirt sophomore and pitches for Charleston Southern University. McGough is from Pittsburgh, PA where he played for Plum High School and led in wins and strikeouts as a senior. He also played in the WPIAL All-Star game and was named All-Section, and Valley News Dispatch first-team. Zane Petty, 6-0/190, will be returning to the Sharks for another season. He is a pitcher for Coastal Carolina where his season is off to a strong start. Petty is from Myrtle Beach, SC and played for Socastee High School where he is the all-time strikeout leader and a four-time "Toast of the Coast" honoree by the Myrtle Beach Sun News as well as Player of the Year in 2005. The coastal plain league is the nation’s premier college summer baseball league, featuring 14 teams playing in three states (The Carolinas and Virginia). The league is certified by the NCAA and Major League Baseball, and gives college standouts the chance to refine their skills with wooden bats during the summer months. The CPL brings fans all of the fun of minor league baseball during a 56 schedule game June through August. Tickets for the 2007 season are now on sale at the Shark’s office.
