Columbia, SC-  The Wilmington Sharks broke open a 3-3 tie in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Columbia Blowfish, Tuesday night.  Mike Powers earned the win for the Sharks.

Offensively, the Sharks were led by Rand Smith who was 3 for 6, with two runs scored.  Jamie Ray, Michael Dobre, and Greg Ihlenburg each collected two hits of their own.

 The Sharks are back in action Wednesday night against South Division leaders Fayetteville.  Game time is set for 7:00.
