WILMINGTON, NC - The Wilmington Sharks will be hosting the tenth annual Sharks Shoot-Out Golf Tournament on Thursday, November 1^st at the Echo Farms Golf and Country Club. The Shoot-Out has become a favorite for local golfers and for the first time the Wilmington chapter of First Tee will be a charitable partner.

The Sharks are proud to be partnering with First Tee, a non-profit organization run by the World Golf Foundation, focused on enhancing the character and providing life lessons to today’s youth through the sport of golf. "We at The First Tee of Wilmington are not only pleased, but are extremely excited to partner with the Wilmington Sharks Baseball Club in doing everything we can to benefit and help educate the young people of Wilmington," said First Tee representative Jake Hunt.

Registration for the tournament includes a round of golf, lunch and dinner, beverages throughout the day and many door prizes provided by tournament sponsors. Whether you're a scratch golfer or a hacker, this tournament is all about having a good time.

The tournament will be a great way to end the 2007 Sharks season. 2007 marked new records in attendance for the Sharks, who finished 2nd in the South division of the Coastal Plains League.
