Sharks Open Second Half On The Offensive Print E-mail
Wed, July 4 2007
Wilmington, NC-  The Sharks opened up the second half with a 8-1 victory over the Wilson Tobs.  Ryan Hamme and Stephen Batts each collected three hits, while Jamie Ray and Nate Recknagel each had two hits.

Wilmington starter Matt Cox threw 4 1/3 innings while surrendering only 2 hits and striking out 4.  Mike Rudman and David Wagner finished the game out for the Sharks.

The Sharks gave all 3000+ fans plenty of fireworks of their own.  In the fifth, Nate Recknagel and Ryan Hamme went back to back, the second time the Sharks have done so in the 2007 season.  In the sixth Jamie Ray put one into the lights for his second home run of the season.

The Sharks are back in action against Florence at home on Thursday night.  Left-hander Kevin Light is on the mound for the Sharks.
