For the second straight night the Sharks scored multiple runs in the eighth inning to put a game away, this time in a 9-4 win over Fayetteville Saturday.

With a run already home and the Sharks leading 7-3 in the eighth, Jesse Bosnik(St. Bonaventure) slammed the door on the Swampdogs with a two RBI triple to bring the Sharks their final two tallies in a nine run onslaught in "the Swamp."

The Sharks didn't wait around for the one great inning though. Trailing 2-0 Wilmington picked up three in the third thanks to an RBI single from Christian Overstreet(Missouri State) and a two out two RBI knock from Drew Wingo(Presbyterian).

It was again the trifecta in the sixth for the Sharks. An RBI single off the bat of Alex Hill(UNC-Wilmington) took the Wilmington lead to 4-2 while back to back bases loaded walks would spot the Sharks a 6-2 advantage after five and a half.

A pair of Shark lefties ate up all nine innings in Fayetteville. Chirs Kennedy(Davidson) made his first start of the season going four and one third innings giving up two runs on just five hits while striking out one. Hunter Ford(Campbell) tossed the final four and two thirds giving up two runs on three hits with two punch outs.

Join the Sharks out at the "Shark Tank" for a Mother's Monday against the Catawba Valley Stars. The June 15th exhibition will features kids eat free as well as all the fun you expect out at the old ball game. Gates open at 6 with first pitch at 7.
