The Sharks were a victim of revenge on Friday night in Columbia. After sweeping the Blowfish in a double header on Thursday night, the Sharks didn't have anything left in the tank for Friday and fell 6-2. Cody Epply started the game for Wilmington and held Columbia scoreless through six innings. Columbia did get to Epply in the seventh however, as they were able to notch three runs and take the lead. A lead they would not relinquish. Brent Weiss collected two hits for the Sharks and Reid Kriesser came through with a two run double but it wasn't enough. The Sharks travel to Ashboro tonight to take on the Copperheads. Game time is 7:00 pm. Following an off day on Sunday the Sharks will return to Wilmington on Monday to take on the Florence Red Wolves. Game time will also be at 7:00 pm. |
