ATMC is a locally owned nonprofit cooperative, which was founded in 1955 by the people of Brunswick County who were unable to secure local dial tone service from existing telephone companies.  A cooperative is a company that belongs to the people that use it, who also set up the services they require.

Based out of Shallotte, North Carolina, the focus of ATMC is to continue providing their customers with great service so that they can seamlessly enjoy all of the digital services offered today.
