After a four day respite from all things Sharks in honor of all things All-Star, your inside track to Sharks baseball is back.

The team had a relaxing break and will now head into the home stretch. Leading the way, Jesse Bosnik and his team leading .315 batting average. And there is a certain team the Sharks will be seeing quite a bit over this final stretch.

The much anticipated return of "Shark Bits," just a click away on a computer screen near you.

Last Game Synopsis: Take a trip, way back with me, to the
Saturday before the All-Star break to remember the Sharks
last game. On a balmy Petersburg nights the bats of the
Generals proved much too hot for the Sharks as the CPL
North entry pounded out 7 runs in the first two innings
en route to a 9-2 victory over the Sharks. Jesse Bosnik
provided the lone highlight for Wilmington with three
hits and an RBI.

What We Got Here, Is a Failure to Play: That was the case back on
the sixth of July, so now we must play two. The Sharks and
SwampDogs were rained out when last they met here in
Wilmington. The game was stranded in the top of the second
with two out and no score. That game will be picked up and
played to a nine inning completion. The second game in turn
will be a fresh contest, started twenty minutes later,
lasting just seven innings.

Bosnik Baseball: Hitting now at a .315 clip on the season,
Sharks infielder Jesse Bosnik is also riding a six game
hitting streak into tonight’s double header of action. The
lefty from St. Bonaventure has racked up 11 hits over the
six games to give him 52 on the season, just five behind
the league leader.

So We Meet Again, and Again, and Again: After not completing a
game against the division rival SwampDogs in over a month,
the Sharks will square off against their Fayetteville
brethren three more times over the next four days as well
as once more in the last week of the season. On the year
the SwampDogs hold a five game to one advantage over the
Sharks on the season.

Cropper Dossier: After a scoreless All-Star frame, including inducing
a ground-out off the bat of teammate Adam Eggemeyer, Daniel
Cropper will take the hill again today in the continuation
first game. Cropper is sporting a 2.45 ERA with 59 strike
outs. The Snow Hill, MD native will return to school this
fall at UNCW with more than 60 innings of summer work under
his belt.
