Recknagel Powers Sharks Past Mustangs in Extra Innings |

Martinsville, VA- Nate Recknagel's 3-4, 4 RBI performance helped the Sharks take the lead in the first, get back in the game in the 8th, and win the game in the 10th Saturday night in Martinsville. The Sharks pounded out 13 hits en route to an 11-7 victory. After relinquishing an early 4-0 lead to fall behind 7-4 in the 7th, Nate Recknagel drove a pitch over the right-centerfield wall to bring the score to 7-6. The Sharks managed to plate another run on a Rand Baughman single to tie the game. The score stayed in a 7-7 deadlock until Nate Recknagel's leadoff homerun in the 10th proved to be the eventual game winner.
The Sharks are back in action Monday night for a double header at Florence. Alex MacKenzie and Mike Powers are scheduled to start for the Sharks.
