For the eighth time this season the Sharks took a ball game to extra frames, and for the third time in '09 came away with the win, 5-3 in 11 at Columbia.

An RBI single with runners on first and second by Andrew Guerra(St. Louis) broke the tie in the top of the 11th. A sac fly off the bat of Jesse Bosnik(St. Bonaventure) drove home an insurance run for Sean Toler(Missouri State) who threw two scoreless in extras to pick up his first win of the season.

Bosnik ended the game 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI, while Allen King(UNC-Wilmington) chipped in two hits and a run scored in the extra effort.

Wilmington jumped out to a 1-0 lead after Trevor Willis(Iowa) led the game off with a single. On second with one out, Willis came home on an RBI double by Bosnik.

J.C. Casey(Missouri State) had another great performance, holding the Blowfish to just three runs on seven hits through his eight inning start. Casey did walk three while striking out five on the night and is handed a no decision.

In the fourth, tied at one Adam Gray(Mercyhurst) keyed the attack with a two out single. Christian Overstreet(Missouri State) then drove a ball deep to right field that was misplayed by the right fielder, allowing Gray to break the tie scoring all the way from third to make it 2-1.Manufacturing a perfect run the Sharks took a 3-1 lead in the fifth when Willis lofted a deep fly to center, scoring King who doubled to lead off the frame.

Tyler Andersen(Utah) held the 'Fish down in the ninth to force extras after Columbia tied things at three in the eighth off of Casey. Toler took the ball and threw a perfect tenth and eleventh with one strike out enroute to that first win.

The two teams will meet again tomorrow in Wilmington. It's a Mother's Monday out at the "Shark Tank." All moms at the game can enjoy gifts and discounts offered by sponsor North Chase Spalon. Kids also get a free meal with their paid admission. Gates open at 6 p.m. the game starts at 7 p.m.
