Wilmington left 13 men on base as they picked up ten hits in a 9-3 loss to Florence at the "Shark Tank," falling to 9-8 on the season.

The Redwolves took the lead early and never looked back. Five runs came off of starter Adam Schrader(SW Minnesota State) as he suffered his second loss of the season.

Adam Eggemeyer's(SIU Edwardsville) big bat flashed in the third to bring the Sharks within one with a solo homer deep to right. 2-1 would be as close that the Sharks would get on the night.

Trailing 5-2 in the seventh Wilmington loaded the bases with one down but scratched across only one run leaving the bags full.

Jesse Bosnik(St. Bonaventure) piled up three hits on the night while Christian Overstreet(Missouri State) went 4-5 with a double and a run scored.

The Sharks will be back in action at home against the Fayetteville Swampdogs Wednesday night. It's teacher appreciation night out at the "Shark Tank," teachers out at the ball game will get in for free. Game starts at 7 p.m. with the gates opening at 6 p.m.

The Wilmington Sharks are members of the summer collegiate Coastal Plain League, the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. In 2008 the Sharks drew more than 50,000 fans to the “Shark Tank” for an average of 1,650 per game.
