The Petersburg Generals scored seven runs in the first two innings putting the Sharks in an early hole, sending Wilmington to a 9-2 loss.

J.C. Casey(Missouri State) allowed all seven runs in the first two, plus one in the fifth to take the loss. Casey lasted five frames, allowing the eight runs on nine hits while striking out five.

All of the Sharks two runs of offense came from Jesse Bosnik(St. Bonaventure). The Shark All-Star went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored.

The first of Bosnik's doubles came to lead off the fourth. He went to third on a wild pitch then came home on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Adam Eggemeyer(SIU-Edwardsville). Bosnik took a turn at driving in a run of his own with his second double to bring home Andrew Guerra(St. Louis) in the sixth. Bosnik's night gave him a team high 26 RBI and 52 hits on the season.

Aside from Bosnik the Sharks were held to just two base hits and three walks as they were unable to mount much of any offensive attack.
