An early double header turned into a late marathon of baseball at the "Shark Tank" Sunday night. In the end the Sharks split two games with the Wilson Tobs, a 3-1 loss in game one and a 3-2 win in game two.

A two hour and forty minute delay kept things from kicking off in the afternoon hours, but once the ball game got started, there was just one more delay.

The Sharks got off to a lead early in both games. After the first three batters reached on two base hits and a walk, Michael Rooney(UNC-Wilmington) came home on a fielders choice off the bat of Greg Bachman(Austin Peay).

Walks would prove to be the undoing in game one however. Adam Schrader(SW Minnesota State), staked to the one run lead walked four Tobs, all with two down in the second to tie the game. After allowing a run on three hits in the third, he was pulled but the damage was done. Tyler Andersen(Utah) threw four frames in relief, allowing a single run on one hit.

The second game of the night started well for the Sharks again. Four straight Sharks singled to lead off the frame, leading to a run. Then another tally came home on a double play ball off the bat of Bachman, to make it 2-0.

With the two run cushion Garrett Cooper(St. Louis) breezed threw the first three without allowing a hit. The fifth frame would be his undoing as he allowed two hits and a walk to help a two run inning for the Wilson Tobs to tie it. D.J. Nordquist(Southern Polytechnic) got the Sharks out of the frame and held the Tobs scoreless the rest of the way to get the win.

A strange play on a strange night brought the go ahead run home for the Sharks. With one down in the fifth, Adam Gray(Mercyhurst) singled. He stole second then came to third on a pass ball with two out. As Andrew Guerra(St. Louis) stood in a ball missed the bat, glove and catcher, glanced away off the umpire's mask and allowed the run to come in to score. Ball game Sharks.
