After two one run wins in a row, the Sharks came out on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision Saturday night in Florence. Chris Kennedy(Davidson) allowed just two hits and the only tally for either side through seven frames. The lefty walked five and struck out three. One of the five walks came home with the help of two bunts for the deciding run. The Sharks loaded the basess in the fourth with two down and put runners on the corners with again two down in the eighth, but could not come up with the RBI knock needed to get on the board. Andrew Guerra(St. Louis) had two of the five Sharks hits on the night, ending the game 2-4. Kyle Smith(Central Missouri) threw a scoreless frame in the eighth inning, allowing just a base hit. The Sharks next home game is coming up on Sunday, a double header against the Wilson Tobs. Both games will be two seven inning contests making up a game that was canceled on July 17th. The first game will get underway at 4 p.m. out at the "Shark Tank" with gates opening at 3 p.m. It is faith and family night out at the "Shark Tank" so bring your church bulliten for half price admission. The Wilmington Sharks are members of the summer collegiate Coastal Plain League, the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. In 2008 the Sharks drew more than 50,000 fans to the “Shark Tank” for an average of 1,650 per game.
