For the third straight time this season UNC-Wilmington's own Daniel Cropper will take the hill at the "Shark Tank."

Cropper's first start came in the Shark's home opener May 28th against Columbia. The right hander pitched five innings scattering two hits and a walk, picking up a no decision in a 6-4 win.

The Maryland native was back on the hill at home against the Wilson Tobs on the 3rd of June. This time Cropper made sure he would factor into the decision holding Wilson to one run on four hits through seven. In the win he also recorded seven strike outs to bring his total to a team high 14.

In his two stellar starts to open the season Cropper has allowed just the single run over 13 innings to post an ERA of 0.75, placing him just outside the league top 10.

Come on out and see Cropper take the hill against the Fayetteville Swampdogs at the "Shark Tank" tonight at 7 p.m. It's a Two For Tuesday out at the ball park featuring two for one tickets and two for one hot dogs all night long. Gates open at 6 p.m.

The Wilmington Sharks are members of the summer collegiate Coastal Plain League, the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. In 2008 the Sharks drew more than 50,000 fans to the “Shark Tank” for an average of 1,650 per game.
