These two UNC-Chapel Hill teammates take a few moments to dish their favorite personal experiences.

In the Major Leagues What sort of interest do you tend to gravitate towards on your off time? Anything outdoors…fishing, hunting, etc. What is the difference in playing for UNC or the Sharks, in terms of level of play? At UNC the game is faster, mostly because of metal bats What do you like best about pitching? When I pitch, I control the entire game Is the transition from UNC to the Sharks, with all new teammates as tough as it can seem? No, playing with the team has been a lot of fun What is your favorite pitch to throw and why? Fastball, I can control it better than my other pitches How do you get mentally prepared before each game? I just focus on what I have to do in order to win How do you feel about throwing to wooden bats as oppose to metal bats? Wooden bats make pitching much easier, but sometimes very frustrating

Carolina is a much higher level of play What do you like best about playing the infield? I like the fact that it’s a short run to my position Is the transition from UNC to the Sharks, with all new teammates as tough as it can seem? It’s not so bad; we all get along fairly well How do you mentally recover after making an error? I just try and let it go and focus on the next play. What is the craziest thing that has ever happened to you during a game? Coach Hersey put in the wrong lineup card and I went up to bat before I was actually supposed to.
