A four run Florence eighth inning sunk the Sharks for good as they lost 9-3 to the Redwolves Friday night.
Max Friedman(Parkland C.C.) took the loss but left trailing by just one run as he gave up four through six innings. Chris Kennedy(Davidson) came on in releif and surrendered the other five to put the game out of reach.
Jesse Bosnik(St. Bonaventure) singled, doubled and scored twice, while Drew Wingo(Presbyterian) notched a two run double as well.

A two run home run from Florence's Steven Neff had the Sharks trailing early. But Wilmington scored a run in the second when Bosnik led off with a single. A hit batter and a walk loadeded the bases for Curt Courtwright(Missouri State) who lofted a sac fly to make it 2-1. For Courtwright that's three straight games with an RBI.

It was again Bosnik sparking the scoring in the fourth. He doubled then a walk and a single loaded the bases. A batter later Wingo would pick up his clutch knock to tie the game at three. The next 14 Sharks went down in order though as Wilmington falls to 10-16.

The Sharks next home game will be another "Two for Tuesday" against the Columbia Blowfish. The game starts at 7 p.m. with the gates opening at 6 p.m. Enjoy two for one tickets as well as two for one hot dogs at the "Shark Tank" all night long.

The Wilmington Sharks are members of the summer collegiate Coastal Plain League, the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. In 2008 the Sharks drew more than 50,000 fans to the “Shark Tank” for an average of 1,650 per game.
