When you talk about division rivals as a whole the Sharks are hot and cold. But when it comes to the Florence Redwolves alone, the Sharks are nothing but hot. Wilmington took the first three in a row from Florence, who for much of the first half topped the CPL South. Headed into tonight's game the Sharks hold a 3 and 1 season mark against the now third place 'Wolves. Tonight's starter Max Friedman(Parkland C.C.) picked up his first win of the season aganst Florence. The Illinois native threw six innings of one run, five hit ball at Amerian Legion Field in Florence, SC. Offensively the Sharks have been dominant against the Redwolves this season. In the four games Wilmington has outscored Florence 29 to 18. Leading that charge, Adam Eggemeyer(SIU-Edwardsville). The left hander has blasted four home runs en route to a .411 batting average against the 'Wolves this summer. Eggemeyer has also produced 17 runs against Florence, scoring seven and driving in ten. The Sharks and Redwolves will meet tonight and tomorrow to wrap up the first half season series between the two division rivals. Tonight it's Jimmy Buffett Night and also Sharks pint glass give away night. Come on out early to be sure and get yours, supplies are limited. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the game starts at 7p.m. The Wilmington Sharks are members of the summer collegiate Coastal Plain League, the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. In 2008 the Sharks drew more than 50,000 fans to the “Shark Tank” for an average of 1,650 per game.
