After a near miss in come from behind fashion last night, the Sharks will try again to find their first win of the second half as the Florence Redwolves come to town, bringing a 1-0 second half advantage into tonight's contest. J.C. Casey will be on the hill for the Sharks. Making his 6th start Casey brings a 2-2 record along with a 2.60 ERA into the game tonight. The Missouri State right hander is staring back at a two game personal losing streak but threw eight innings of one hit ball the last time he faced these Redwolves. Offensively there is no doubt the Sharks have been struggling to hit and score runs. Over the last 13 games the team's batting average has dropped to .234, 11th in the league. In contrast, through the 10 games prior to that stretch the Sharks as a team were batting .312. This line-up has the talent to win, and win often, leaving everyone wondering when things will start clicking. It's a Family Pack Wednesday out at the ball-park tonight. A family of four can get four tickets, four sodas and four hot dogs for just 25 dollars. A great deal, a great team, and some great fun. Gates open at 6 p.m. with first pitch set for 7 p.m. The Wilmington Sharks are members of the summer collegiate Coastal Plain League, the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league. In 2008 the Sharks drew more than 50,000 fans to the “Shark Tank” for an average of 1,650 per game.
