Two early home runs were not enough as the Sharks offense stalled late and Wilmington lost 6-2 in Florence Wednesday night.
Christian Overstreet(Missouri State) hit his third home run in two days in the first to put the Sharks up 1-0. After just missing one in his first at bat, Adam Eggemeyer(SIU-Edwardsville) picked up his sixth home run of the season with a solo shot to right center making it 2-0.
Ryne Harper(Austin Peay) started and gave up just three runs, including a solo home run, through five frames. The right hander walked three and struck out four, but takes the loss to move to 1-4 on the season.

Though it will not count for the Coastal Plain stats and standings, only time will tell how a 16-4 trouncing of the Catawba Valley Stars in an exhibition game will help the Sharks.
16 runs, nine in a single inning when the Sharks sent 14 to the plate, on 14 hits. Andrew Guerra(St. Louis) hit a grand slam to drive in four runs on the night, while Christian Overstreet(Missouri State) drove in five on two home runs and a two run single.
Adam Schrader(SW-Minnesota State) started and was credited with the win, throwing four frames of two run ball, leaving just before the run scoring bottom of the fourth.
