Wilmington- The Wilmington Sharks Baseball Club fans now have access to listen to game broadcasts over the Internet. Coastal
Plain League WebPass delivers any home or away game directly over the
Internet to anyone with an Internet connection this season.
Fans can chose from three different plans, differing on the amount of access they desire. The
Season Ticket package offers fans access to 52 games of their choice,
for any combination of team matchups, on any given night. Also with this package, fans can follow every home and away game of the Sharks season for $150.
The Book Ticket package is the ideal listening option for fans interested in their favorite team`s home or away games. This package presents fans with access to 26 games of their choice, also for any matchup, for $90.
For $5, the Game Day Ticket package allows fans to order the broadcast the day of a particular game for their enjoyment.
To gain access to any of these three plans, just visit the CPL website (www.coastalplain.com) or the Sharks website (www.wilmingtonsharks.com) and click on the WebPass icon.

Wilmington
– The Wilmington Sharks today released the Coastal Plain League`s
playing schedule for 2004. The summer collegiate baseball league begins
its eighth season of play on June 3rd and closes the regular season on
August 4th. Each of the league`s clubs will play a 52-game, split
season schedule. An annual highlight of the slate, the CPL`s All-Star
game, is set to be played on Tuesday, July 20th at American Legion
Field in Florence, South Carolina.
The
12-team circuit consists of three divisions: the North: Edenton, Outer
Banks, Peninsula and Petersburg; the South: Fayetteville, Florence,
Wilmington and Wilson; and the West: Asheboro, Gastonia, Spartanburg
and Thomasville.
The Sharks home opener will be June 3rd at 7:00 vs. The Wilson Tobs.

Wilmington – Today, Sharks General Manager Curt VanDerzee released attendance numbers showing a drastic increase in attendance this season.
This season the Sharks are averaging 1,500 people per game with a total season attendance thus far of 31,666 fans. With three games remaining the Sharks have already broken the 2000 season record of 30,212. Last season the Sharks had a total attendance of 26,073, which was a slight drop from years past.
General Manager Curt VanDerzee said, “I am extremely happy with the attendance numbers this season. Despite a slight decline in attendance over the last few years, this summer had proven that baseball in Wilmington is back and better than ever. We are very appreciative of the support Wilmington has shown and plan to make next season even better, continuing to break attendance records annually.”
Coastal Plain League President Pete Bock said, “Wilmington is one of the original and most successful franchises in the league and we are very happy with what they have accomplished. We are excited about the Sharks` new ownership and look forward to even more success from Wilmington and the Sharks.”

The Coastal Plain League has completed the 2003 Sharks home and road
schedule. The Wilmington Sharks season will begin on the road on
Friday, May 30th. The Home Opener will take place on Saturday, May 31st
against the Durham Americans at Buck Hardee Field at Legion Stadium.
The Sharks will have a brand new website in February that will display
the many different aspects of the new logo. The new website will also
have the 2003 schedule, upcoming events, roster, an alumni page and
will be a secure site to purchase tickets and souvenirs online.
