The sun is shining and drying out the "Shark Tank" plenty for tonight's exhibition with the Catawba Valley Stars.
Exhibition or no, the Sharks dedicated media relations staff has compiled everything from the dish on a starting pitcher on the mend to a curse to rival the Bambino's and the goat's.
It's been shown, or at least speculated, that "Shark Bits" are good for the digestion. You may need it tonight on a "Two for Tuesday" where tickets and hot dogs are both two, two, TWO, for the price of one.

A wise man once said, "Monday, Monday. Can't help that day." And he was right. For the second straight Monday rain shut down a Sharks game in progress.
The Sharks and Blowfish made it through the first inning before the rains came. No team scored, the Sharks had a single hit and left a man on.
For a moment it looked as if the game would get back underway, but the skies broke once again and an already damp field could take no more.

You know the drill. Sharks aren't scared of a little water.
It has been raining off and on throughout the area but tonight's game against the Columbia Blowfish is still set to be played as scheduled at 7 p.m.

The Wilmington Sharks are five back in the division, and six back of the final Wild Card spot with 17 games to play. Should be quite a stretch.
Coming off their third extra inning win in eight tries the Sharks will look to a right hander from the Land of Lincoln to bite the Blowfish for a second straight night. Plus, of all the Sharks, there may be just one to have at the plate with the game on the line late.
It's Mother's Monday out at the "Shark Tank" tonight. Moms can come out to the park and enjoy great perks all night. A perk for you right now, the latest edition of "Shark Bits."

For the eighth time this season the Sharks took a ball game to extra frames, and for the third time in '09 came away with the win, 5-3 in 11 at Columbia.
An RBI single with runners on first and second by Andrew Guerra(St. Louis) broke the tie in the top of the 11th. A sac fly off the bat of Jesse Bosnik(St. Bonaventure) drove home an insurance run for Sean Toler(Missouri State) who threw two scoreless in extras to pick up his first win of the season.
Bosnik ended the game 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI, while Allen King(UNC-Wilmington) chipped in two hits and a run scored in the extra effort.
