| Sharks Release 2008 Schedule |

Wilmington, N.C. - The Wilmington Sharks are pleased to announce the release of the 2008 schedule, which features 56 games (28 at home at Buck Hardee Field in Legion Stadium) and an array of exciting new promotions to run alongside many fan favorites.  The Sharks’ 12th season will kick off on Wednesday May 28th as they
host new division rival Wilson Tobs. The first 1,000 fans in attendance
will receive a free 2008 Sharks magnet schedule. On Friday May 30th,
the Sharks will be back in action after an early off-day vs. the
Fayetteville SwampDogs. All fans in attendance will be treated to the
Sharks’ first post-game fireworks spectacular of the season.
The 2008 schedule features ten Friday or Saturday night games, as well as six Thursday night “Party in the Park” promotions at the “Shark Tank”. Other key dates during the 2008 campaign will include July 3rd’s Independence Day celebration and highly-rated fireworks extravaganza, a special Father’s Day tribute on June 15th, and the return of the unique “Alternative Transportation Night” on July 26th.
The Sharks will
once again be in the very competitive southern division of the Coastal
Plain League as they battle rivals Fayetteville SwampDogs, Columbia
