After Kolby Epley(College of Charleston) brought Gray home with a ground out, Greg Bachman(Austin Peay) singled and scored on a Graham Fronk(Campbell) RBI knock.

Garrett Cooper(St. Louis) started and shut the Stars out through five, surrendering just two hits. Alex Hill(UNC-Wilmington) came on in relief and held Catawba Valley to just a solo home run, while Kyle Smith(Central Missouri) nailed down the win with three outs in the ninth.
