A two run home run off the bat of Andrew Guerra(St. Louis) pulled the Sharks within three runs of the Wilson Tobs, but they would fall 7-4. A five run fourth doomed the Sharks as the Tobs batted around off of starter Hunter Ford(Campbell) who took the loss. The Sharks answered with an RBI single off of the bat of Alex Hill(UNC-Wilmington) for the second of two runs in the fourth but the bats fell silent until Guerra's 8th inning homer. Chris Powell(Presbyterian) worked three innings in relief giving up just 2 hits, while Kyle Smith(Central Missouri) and Sean Toler(Missouri State) combined to keep the Tobs off the scoreboard after the 5th.
