The appearance is in conjunction with the FCC’s push to get awareness out to the Wilmington area about the upcoming mandatory digital television switch on September 8th.  They will have applications for fans to fill out for coupons to purchase the equipment needed to update older televisions so they are able to receive the new digital signal.  FCC representatives will hold demonstrations on how to connect and operate the digital conversion device.

 

 

In addition to the FCC’s visit, the Wilmington Sharks will be holding White Out the Park Night at the Shark Tank, so wear your white attire to help brighten up the ballpark for the evening.  Fans can get in for half price at the gate when they show their Food Lion MVP Cards, otherwise come out to the park to take advantage of our season-long gas price promotion and get your tickets for less than a gallon of gas!

 

 

The Wilmington Sharks are a member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation’s hottest summer collegiate baseball league.  Celebrating its 12th season, the Coastal Plain League features 14 teams playing in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.  The CPL gives college players the chance to refine their skills with the use of wooden bats.  Players are housed with local host families for the summer and past experiences have been very positive for both players and hosts.  For more information on the Coastal Plain League, please visit the league Web site at www.coastalplain.com.
