Daniel Cropper(UNC-Wilmington) turned in his third stellar performace of the year but came up with nothing to show for it as the Sharks fall 6-4 in ten innings to the Fayetteville Swampdogs. Jesse Bosnik(St. Bonaventure) drove in a run in both the first and the fifth to stake Cropper a 2-0 lead. The Seahawk righty made it stand up through seven innings of two hit ball. He fanned a season high ten batters to take his team lead up to 24. Things would unravel though as the first two runners reached off of reliever Ryan McGrath(Wake Forrest). Then with two down and runners on second and third a wide throw to first on a grounder to third brought home two, eventually sending things to an extra frame. After Fayetteville plated four in the top of the tenth of off Sean Toler(Missouri State) the Sharks would battle back for two in the bottom of the ninth, but leave the tying runs on first and second as they fall to 5-7. Join the Sharks out at the "Shark Tank" for more action coming up Thursday night against the Florence Redwolves. It's another Thirsty Thursday presented by Front Street Brewery. Come out and enjoy one dollar beer and soft drinks all night long. Gates open at 6.pm. and the game starts at 7.
