Deja Vu All Over Again as Sharks Fall 1-0 Print E-mail

For the second straight start right hander Kyle Barry(Madison Area Tech) held his opponents to just one run, but the Sharks picked up just four hits and no runs of support as they lost to the Tobs Wednesday afternoon. Click to listen to a Shark Bytes recap.

Barry threw eight full innings in his second Coastal Plain start this summer giving up just one run in the eigth inning on a squeeze bunt with one down. Barry allowed just four hits, walked two and struck out four. His hard luck record falls to 0-2.

Cory Lyda(Presbyterian) was the only Shark with multiple hits on the day as he singled in his final two at bats to go 2-4 on the afternoon. With one down in the ninth Lyda singled and took second on a wild pitch. He was left thier two outs later as the Sharks drop to 14-16 over all and 2-4 on the second half.

Three straight road games will end the week for the Sharks as they travel to face Wilson, Thomasville and Asheboro. Action resumes at the Shark Tank on Sunday when the Fayettefille Swampdogs come to town. The game starts at 5pm.
