WILMINGTON, N.C.--The Wilmington Sharks are teaming up with the American Heart Association on Thursday, July 22 to help raise money and awareness for the American Heart Association. The American Heart Association staff and volunteers will be on-hand for the Wilmington Sharks game against the Fayetteville SwampDogs at Buck Hardee Field. Throughout the ballgame, the American Heart Association will be raffling off a number of terrific prizes, with all of the money raised going to the association.
Fans will also have the opportunity to make donations to the American Heart Association prior to and during the game. Information about the organization will be available at a table set up near the Sharks ticket office. The American Heart Association has secured a large number of exciting raffle items including: I Love NY Pizza - Gift Certificate The American Heart Association is a non-profit organization that raises money to reduce disability and deaths caused by cardiovascular disease and stroke. Their mission is to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and first pitch is at 7:05 p.m. The Wilmington Sharks are a member of the Coastal Plain League, a summer collegiate baseball league featuring college ballplayers. The league consists of 15 teams through North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. |
