WILMINGTON, N.C.--The Wilmington Sharks game with the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday, July 14 has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The game will not be made up.

People with reserved seats for tonight’s game can come by the Wilmington Sharks office at 2149 Carolina Beach Road to exchange their rain-out tickets for reserved tickets at another home game.

The Sharks will be back in action Thursday, July 15 as they host the Columbia Blowfish on Fat Tony's and Surf 98.3 Thirsty Thursday and ILM Shirt Off Our Back Night. This past Thirsty Thursday saw 2,763 fans pile into the Shark Tank to set a Thursday attendance record for this season. Buck Hardee Field is the place to be on Thursday in the Port City. There's only three more Thursdays to see the Sharks in the regular season so don't miss out. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and first pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

The Wilmington Sharks are members of the Coastal Plain League, a summer collegiate baseball league featuring teams from North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.  The Sharks play a 56-game schedule between the end of May and beginning of August 2010.
