The Wilmington Sharks of the Coastal Plain League (CPL) announced today that according to Ballparkbiz.com the Sharks finished the season ranked 13^th in the nation in average attendance among all other teams in summer collegiate baseball.

The attendance figures only account for all regular season home games.  It does not take into consideration any non-league or playoff games hosted by the Sharks during the season.  Over 26 official openings, the Sharks averaged 1,775 fans per game for the 2011 season.
