The Sharks only have three home games left in Coastal Plaine League regular season play. Wilmington kicks off a two-game homestand right in the middle of the playoff hunt tonight, Wednesday, July 28 against Columbia. Tonight's game will be Budweiser Fly Away Night where one lucky fan will win an all expenses paid trip to Atlanta to see the Braves play at Turner Field in August. The Adult Swim Two Dollar Ticket and One Dollar Refill Deal will be in effect for this game. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and first pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Don't forget to come out on Thursday, July 29 for the Last Call Thirsty Thursday presented by Fat Tony's and Surf 98.3. It's the final Thirsty Thursday of the season so don't miss it as the Sharks take on the Forest City Owls in inter-divisional action. It'll also be WWAY-TV3 Shirt Off Our Back Night where several lucky fans will win a game-worn Sharks jersey right off the players backs. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and first pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
Wilmington won 4-0 at Martinsville last night in inter-divisional action. The second-straight win for the Sharks was huge as it puts them half a game ahead of Asheboro in the wild card.
