The final meeting between the Wilmington Sharks and Morehead City Marlins at Buck Hardee Field this season takes place Monday, July 26 on "Mug Monday" and Boy Scout Night. The first 500 fans into the ballpark will receive a free mug autographer by the Wilmington Sharks, courtesty of Cape Fear Diagnostics. Also, all boy scouts who wear their uniform to the park, get free admission to the game! In addition, the Sharks Adult Swim ticket and drink special will be in effect. All adult fans age 21+ can purchase a $2 ticket with a $5 drink cup. All subsequent drink refills will cost just $1. Gates open at 6 p.m. with first pitch at 7:05. |

FLORENCE, S.C.---Sharks newcomer Aaron Preston had a strong offensive night, going 2-3 with a double and a triple, but RedWolves starter Alex Kreis kept the rest of the Sharks bats relatively quiet as Florence beat Wilmington 5-1. The RedWolves beat the Sharks 9-3 in the conclusion of a July 9 suspended game earlier in the night in a game that resumed in the sixth inning.

FLORENCE, S.C.---The Wilmington Sharks and Florence RedWolves picked up baseball in the sixth inning Saturday night in Florence, resuming a suspended game from July 9 with the score tied at 3-3. The RedWolves jumped on Sharks pitcher Justin Somers to score six runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 9-3 lead and would win the game by that margin.

WILMINGTON, N.C.--After a lengthy battle with the first place Morehead City Marlins (27-16, 11-3 CPL second half), a wild pitch by Sharks reliever Patrick Mincey (L, 1-3) in the 10th inning scored Joe Sclafani and gave the Marlins a 3-2 win over the Wilmington Sharks in 10 innings.

WILMINGTON, N.C.---Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Wilmington Sharks have re-scheduled Cape Fear Diagnostics Autograph Mug Night for Monday, July 26 when the Sharks take on the Morehead City Marlins.
The first 500 fans into the ballpark on July 26 will receive a free mug autographed by the Wilmington Sharks, courtesy of Cape Fear Diagnostics. July 26 is also Boy Scout Night, which will still occur unimpeded by the mug night re-scheduling. All scouts who wear their uniform to Buck Hardee Field will receive a free general admission ticket to that night's Sharks game.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
Tonight's game will still feature the postgame Taco Bell Fireworks Show as scheduled.
Friday night's game (July 23) is still Taco Bell Fireworks night. Tonight is your last chance to see fireworks at Buck Hardee Field this summer. The Sharks/Marlins game begins at 7:05 p.m. with gates opening at 6:00. |
