Sharks Take on Fayettevile For Big Splash July 13 at 11 a.m. Print E-mail

The Big Splash, the coolest Sharks game of the summer, is almost here! Come out to Buck Hardee Field Tuesday, July 13 as the Sharks take on the Fayetteville SwampDogs for a special 11 a.m. first pitch.  The Shark Tank will be transformed into a water park for kids and their families to enjoy. Tickets are $2 for all general admission seating and special kid’s menu pricing will be available at Sharky’s Snack Shack. Gates open at 10 a.m., first pitch is at 11 a.m. After the game, all of the Sharks will be available for autographs.

WILMINGTON, N.C. –The Wilmington Sharks brought forth both dominant pitching and timely hitting to down the Fayetteville SwampDogs 8-1 in front of 2,763 at Buck Hardee field Thursday night, a night after dropping a tough 15-13 game in 10 innings to Florence. 

Joe Wagstaff (W, 3-2) carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning and allowed just one hit and one run over eight innings to pick up the win.

 The Wilmington club battled back from a four run deficit in Wilson Tuesday night but let two late leads slip away in a 7-6, ten inning loss to the Tobs.

The Columbia Blowfish came into town and rode the right arm of Keegan Linza to a 6-1 victory at the Shark Tank Monday night.
