The Sharks have a lot to live up to during the 2010 season. Coming off a season which the "Shark Tank" hosted the 2009 CPL All Star Game and the team receiving the honor of CPL Organization of the Year, last summer leaves some big shoes to fill.
Fans have become accustomed to the Sharks as a staple of family, affordable entertainment in Wilmington since 1997. Each year the Sharks introduce something new and exciting for the community to enjoy. There are also numerous promotions that the Sharks will welcome back again, like the ever-popular Thirsty Thursdays.
With Tom Fleenor (South Carolina-Sumter) at the helm on the field the Sharks are anxious to return to their winning ways.
Off the field the bar has been set high for the Sharks and they are ready to jump over the bar, reaching new heights for the 2010 season.

The Sharks snapped a six game skid with just enough offense and some clutch pitching late, to beat the Columbia Blowfish 4-3.
Daniel Cropper(UNC-Wilmington) picked up the win for the Sharks giving up just two runs through six innings, striking out five.
The Sharks offense spotted the righty four runs after the third. With one down two hit batsmen and a single loaded the bases for Adam Eggemeyer(SIU-Edwardsville) who laced a two run single to pick up his 19th and 20th RBI on the season. Not to be out done the very next batter, Jesse Bosnik(St. Bonaventure) drove in two more runs with a single to make it 4-0.

The cool weather is upon us and the “Shark Tank” has begun its winter nap. Don't let that fool you - May 29th will be here before you know it and that means another exciting summer of Wilmington Sharks Baseball!
The Sharks organization is hard at work putting together a promotional schedule that is second to none for 2012. Highlighted by post-game fireworks extravaganza presented by Taco Bell, ten (10) Thirsty Thursday’s, a UNCW alumni exhibition game and the 2nd annual McDonalds McJersey McAuction night to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.
Sharks fans will also be able to see some familiar faces on the field this summer, led by returning coach Ryan McCleney. McCleney served as an assistant coach last season, but makes his return this season at the helm. Stay tuned as the Sharks will be announcing player signings in the coming weeks.
It’s never too early to purchase season tickets or become part of the Sharks organization by becoming a host family and welcoming a player or two into your home.

WILMINGTON, N.C. –The Wilmington Sharks came into the Big Splash on a three-game winning streak, having scored 26 runs combined during that stretch. Though the Sharks didn’t score near their previous three game totals (they scored 13 in a loss to Florence July 7), they scored just enough to get the 5-4 win over the Fayetteville SwampDogs Tuesday afternoon.
