For just the fifth time this season the Sharks were unable to plate a run as they fell 5-0 to the SwampDogs Tuesday night. Click to listen to a Shark Bytes Recap.
Matt Freeman(Nebraska) started for the Sharks and held the Wilmington club in the ballgame giving up just three runs to the Swampdogs through his six innings of work. Freeman did walk six and struck out seven as he falls to 2-4 on the season. There was no support behind Freeman to be found as they were held to just two hits all night long. The Sharks loaded the bases in the seventh to chase Fayetteville starter Chris Patterson(Appalachian State). They would stay loaded with one down but a couple of pop ups ended the Sharks only threat of the game. The Sharks will travel to Wilson tomorrow to take on the Tobs for two. Fan appreciation weekend kicks of Thursday out at the "Shark Tank" with dollar drinks on another Thirsty Thursday. Gates open at 6pm the game starts at 7pm. |
