For just the second time this season the Sharks fell at the hands of the division rival Redwolves Friday. Wilmington gets a chance at redemption tonight down south in Florence.

After breaking a six game skid earlier this week, the Sharks have dropped their last three headed into the Saturday night face off from American Legion Field. Still leading the season series 3-2, the Sharks will look to secure a winning record against this divisional foe.

Adam Schrader(SW-Minnesota State) will be on the hill in Florence tonight. Easton, Minnesota's own will be making his sixth start of the season with a 1-3 record.

Florence Leads Early, Scores Late to Beat Sharks Print E-mail

A four run Florence eighth inning sunk the Sharks for good as they lost 9-3 to the Redwolves Friday night.
Max Friedman(Parkland C.C.) took the loss but left trailing by just one run as he gave up four through six innings. Chris Kennedy(Davidson) came on in releif and surrendered the other five to put the game out of reach.
Jesse Bosnik(St. Bonaventure) singled, doubled and scored twice, while Drew Wingo(Presbyterian) notched a two run double as well.

Takes More than Rain to Scare a Shark Print E-mail

With the threat of rain in the Wilmington area, the tarp is covering the "Shark Tank" right now in case the skies do break open. This storm system is expected to pass over us well before game time.

The game is still on for 7 p.m. against the Florence Redwolves. We hope to see everyone out for Jimmy Buffet Night and Sharks pint glass give away night. Gates open at 6 p.m.

When you talk about division rivals as a whole the Sharks are hot and cold. But when it comes to the Florence Redwolves alone, the Sharks are nothing but hot.

Wilmington took the first three in a row from Florence, who for much of the first half topped the CPL South. Headed into tonight's game the Sharks hold a 3 and 1 season mark against the now third place 'Wolves.

Tonight's starter Max Friedman(Parkland C.C.) picked up his first win of the season aganst Florence. The Illinois native threw six innings of one run, five hit ball at Amerian Legion Field in Florence, SC.
